Are you looking for a very private place to live?

Manhattan, Kansas has long been the home of Kansas State University; it is the new home of the National Bio and Agro Defense Facility.

Manhattan has grown much over the past few decades. Those of us who were students in the 70's have returned 30 years later to find expansion, opportunity, and innovation. As the communities of Manhattan, Ft. Riley, and various surrounding farm and manufacturing towns grow, large tracts of pristine acreage becomes more precious.

This site was created to show a beautiful property that is literally a cup of coffee away from the university. The lifetime owners have decided to downsize (and decide between Connecticut and Hawaii)...and as nice as that sounds, it is not without regrets they will let go this sanctuary here in the Flint Hills of Kansas.

Over the next few posts I would like to share the details of the home and this lovely space with anyone who is interested in finding a completely private living place, replete with wildlife, hiking, fresh air, and the sounds of water and wind.

A Place for Horses

This week I will post information about the house and the barn.
If you like horses, they will like hearing about the cozy place waiting for them, still faintly smelling of golden straw and hay, with a view to the surrounding acres of natural grasses, shrubs, trees, and the creekline.
